EN 10216 European standard replaces the old standard DIN 17175 and DIN 1629. This standard is designed for pipes used in pressure applications, such as pipes
• EN 10216 contains several parts.
• EN 10216 part 1: Non-alloy steel pipes, with specified characteristics at room temperature
• EN 10216 Part 2: Non-alloy steel pipes with specified characteristics at high temperatures
• EN 10216 Part 3: Fine-grained alloy steel pipes for any temperature
• EN 10216-1, QUALITY P235TR2 (DIN 1629, ST.37.0)
• P = pressure
• 235 = flow limit in N / mm2
• TR2 = quality with specific properties related to aluminum content, impact and inspection values and test requirements. (Unlike TR1, for which this is not specified).
• EN 10216-2, QUALITY P235 GH (DIN 17175, ST.35.8 CL. 1, (BOILER PIPES)
• P = pressure
• 235 = flow limit in N / mm2
• GH = properties tested at higher temperatures
EN 10216-3, QUALITY P355 N (more or less equivalent to DIN 1629, ST.52.0)
• P = pressure
• 355 = flow limit in N / mm2
• N = normalized *
Normalized is defined as: normalized (hot), laminated or annealing standard (at a temperature of min 930 ° C). This applies to all steels designated by the letter N in the new European standards.
EN 10216-1/2/3/4. EN 10216-1 Gr. P235TR2 Alloy Steel Seamless Tubes in a size range of 1/4 inch- 24 inch are available in stock or at order. We offer Alloy Steel EN Tubes in imperial sizes 1/2 inch -72 inch iwith wall thickness from range of 1mm - 140mm. EN 10216-1 Gr. P235TR2 Tubes are also available in series of schedules like SCH5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, 80, 120, XS, XXS, 140, 160. Fine grain steel tubes for pressure purposes are used in power engineering and other industries. Pipes are used in elevated pressure installations and everywhere it is necessary to assure the appropriate level.
The pipes are manufactured with TC2 tests(III requirement level) and with TC1 tests(I requirement level). The pipes are manufactured with the diameters between 21,3 mm – 660 mm and with the wall thickness of upto 100 mm in the case of hot rolling and with the diameters between 10,2 mm – 108 mm and with the wall thickness of upto 12,5 mm in the case of cold drawing.
